This winter we are investing in more shipping opportunities for the Hawaiian Islands, increasing cargo capacity on high-demand lanes and launching two new seasonal routes connecting Hawai‘i with the Mountain West.
Starting in December, we will add three widebody Airbus A330 flights each week on the popular Honolulu (HNL)-Las Vegas (LAS) route, supporting heavy demand during the busiest shipping season.
In addition, on December 17 we will start daily service between Honolulu and Boise (BOI), and on December 19 we will launch weekly service between Honolulu and Spokane (GEG) — making us the only domestic carrier offering nonstop service between Honolulu and the Mountain West. Flights to Boise will continue through March 21, and service to Spokane will fly through April 17.
Our global hub in Honolulu also provides daily nonstop cargo service to Tokyo Haneda (HND) and Osaka Kansai (KIX), as well as regular year-round flights to Sydney (SYD) and more destinations across the South Pacific and Asia.
We reach markets across four continents and are proud to connect our customers with 110-plus destinations throughout our worldwide network.

Next year, we will also add four 737-800BCF freighters to our dedicated cargo fleet — with at least two serving the state of Hawai‘i — bringing the opportunity to move palletized cargo between the islands and the continental U.S. The plan is to paint the aircraft based in Honolulu (HNL) in a Hawaiian Airlines cargo livery.
The other two freighters will serve the 19 communities we reach across the state of Alaska. Together, the four new aircraft will effectively double our freighter capacity and increase reliability for the communities and businesses we serve.
The four new freighters are expected to enter service in 2027.
The expansion will give us a total of nine dedicated freighters in our Alaska and Hawaiian Air Cargo freighter fleet, strengthening the network that connects communities across Alaska and Hawai‘i to the contiguous U.S., and linking them into our broader international cargo network. Communities across both states depend on us to ship vital groceries, goods, lifesaving blood donations and medicines to and from locations accessible only by air and sea.
Together, Alaska Air Cargo and Hawaiian Air Cargo reach 110-plus cargo destinations around the world, including cities across Asia, the South Pacific and Europe. With more than 90 years of experience carrying vital shipments to remote communities, our air cargo teams share deep connections to the communities where we live, work and fly.
